This event was well attended, by community youth, they were able to compete and gain insight on drug prevention, and its negative impact on life. They were told that one way to keep drugs out of their community is to eliminate the demand. Over 50 from the age of 9 to 18 participated. We will like to thank all our volunteers and community businesses who supported this event, (IGA, True Value of Lake Village).
| Saturday May 4, 2013, 7pm Group Session Young men talked about becoming men of force, the importance of it, and the result of being a positive man of force. Wednesday July 17, 2013 Group Session Young men talked about what they need to know, concerning life skills. Saturday September 21, 2013, 2pm to 5pm Community Outreach Site: Henry Agustus Park, Lake Village, Arkansas This event had in attendant over 50 community youth, and presented an excellent mentoring opportunity. An opportunity for the adults and youth to fellowship together, BTC appreciated local businesses; James Cole Repair Shop, Travis Dixon Auto Repair, James Construction for their donations for us to be able to provides snacks for the children. |
